A shop is only open when the sign is up. Online, that sign is a website people can find, trust and book on at 11 pm. We build it, plus the booking or ordering system and the social media, for Cape Town businesses still running on word of mouth, a Facebook page and a WhatsApp number. You see a mockup of your own site before you pay anything.
The mockup we send is built around what your customers are trying to do, not a generic template.
Only reachable through Booking.com and Airbnb, paying 15–18% on every stay, including repeat guests.
A photo of the menu on Facebook, a phone that rings during service, no way to book a table online.
"Do you have a 6m marquee for Saturday?" on WhatsApp, one customer at a time, all day.
Plumbers, electricians, cleaners, tour guides: good work, no site, so the job goes to whoever shows up first on Google.
Products that sell in the shop and on Instagram, but nowhere a customer can browse the whole range or order.
Families search at 2 a.m. and need to reach someone, see what you offer and know what it costs, without being sold to.
Open them on your phone; that's where your customers will see yours.

The 7 days start when you approve the mockup and we have your photos and prices. Most delays on a website are waiting for content, so we ask for it up front and help you gather it.
You send your business name. We build a preview with your name, services and the photos you already have online. Don't like it? You owe nothing.
Photos, prices, opening hours, what you want customers to do. All on WhatsApp. We send a checklist so nothing is missed.
Copy written, pages built, bookings or orders connected, payments tested. You review it on your phone and ask for changes.
Domain, hosting and Google Business listing in your name. Logins handed over, with a short video on how to change prices and photos yourself.
Fixed prices, half on approval and half at go-live. You own the domain and the site. The monthly option is optional and stops any month.
| Your trade | What "bookings or orders" means for you | What it replaces |
|---|---|---|
| Guesthouse, B&B | Room booking with live availability, online payment, calendar synced with Booking.com and Airbnb | OTA commission on guests who could book you direct |
| Restaurant, bar | Table reservations, event and function enquiries, menu online | The phone ringing during service |
| Equipment, party hire | Catalogue with prices, quote request with dates and quantities, deposit payment | Answering "do you have X for Saturday?" one by one |
| Trades, services | Quote request with photos and address, click-to-WhatsApp, Google reviews shown | Losing the job to whoever answers first |
| Shop, studio | Product gallery, order or enquiry per product, payment link, Meta catalogue | Sending the same product photos on WhatsApp all day |
| Funeral home | 24-hour contact, services and packages with pricing, obituary and service notice pages | Families not finding you when they need you |
Put in your own numbers. A guesthouse that moves a third of its bookings to its own site usually pays the website back in the first season.
Assumes a 15% OTA commission, 365 nights. For a restaurant or a hire company the maths is different, but the pattern is the same: the enquiries you already get, handled without you on the phone.
You do. The domain is registered in your business name, the hosting account is yours, and you get every login at go-live. If you ever stop working with us, everything stays with you.
Photos (phone photos are fine; we edit them), your prices or rates, opening hours, and your WhatsApp number. We send a short checklist. If you have no photos at all, we can arrange a half-day shoot at extra cost.
You owe nothing. The mockup is ours to build and yours to reject. If you like the direction but want changes, we make them before you pay anything.
Yes, and you should. Your own site adds a channel where you keep the full price; it doesn't replace the others. For guesthouses we sync the calendar so a room booked on your site is blocked on the OTAs within minutes.
Half of the package price when you approve the mockup, half at go-live. For your customers' payments we set up a South African payment provider in your name; the money goes to your account, never through ours.
Yes. Everything happens on WhatsApp and video calls, so we work with businesses across the Western Cape and the rest of South Africa.
Open Sign builds websites, booking systems and social media for small and medium businesses. Our clients so far include three guesthouses in Camps Bay, a furniture studio and a modular-home company. The guesthouse sites took their owners from OTA-only to direct bookings within a season.
You get one dedicated contact on WhatsApp, in English, from the first message to the handover. No agency layers, no account managers.
Send us your business name and where you are. We'll reply with a preview within a few days.
